Winter Enipeas is Olympus in December: forest, gorge and maybe snow, over 25 km with 1,740 m of climbing. From Litochoro you climb through the forest to the Stavros refuge, then plunge 700 m to the mills on wet leaves, rock and roots. Then you run up the Enipeas gorge on the E4, over stone steps and wooden bridges above the river. The last climb takes you onto Golna, with the whole summit cirque of Olympus behind you, and from there you drop back to town.
