Volos Half Marathon

The organiser's own course description

• First stationkm 4The first 5 km loop through the centre of Volos, along the seafront and up Dimitriados and Iasonos streets. Flat and crowded: settle in before you head out along the coast.
• Stationkm 7Out along the shore towards Pefkakia. The road stays flat; if there is a headwind, find a group.
• Halfway stationkm 10.5Halfway, on the coast road past Pefkakia towards Alykes.
• Turnaroundkm 13 Cutoff 1h55 from the start The turn, with a timing check. You must reach it within 1 hour 55; slower runners are picked up by the organisers' cars or continue on their own responsibility without a bib. From here it is the same flat road back to the city.
• Stationkm 14On the way back towards Volos, the city and Pelion ahead of you.
• Last stationkm 17Last station before the finish. Four kilometres of flat seafront to the University building: the place to empty the tank.
