Styx Race is the race of Helmos, the mountain the Styx falls from. The 30K climbs 600 m in its first three kilometres to the observatory ridge at 2,324 m. Then it dives into the fir forest on a slope as steep as 39% and runs all the way down to Kalavryta at 730 m. From the town it climbs 1,070 m back to the ski centre. On Saturday the Vertical starts at 18:00 and finishes on Neraidorachi as the sun goes down.
