Rock Solid Kastellorizo

A weekend of trail running on Kastellorizo, the small island at the far eastern edge of Greece, 2 km off the Turkish coast. The 22K runs round most of the island from the harbour: up to the ancient acropolis of Palaiokastro, back down to the town, up the 400 steps to the monastery plateau and home by the French footpath. It is short but steep, with rock and stone steps, and views over the islets and the coast of Lycia all the way. A 5K on Saturday evening and a 10K on Sunday evening run on the same trails.
