Palaioi Poroi, PieriaOpen in Maps Sunday, 1 November 2026

The forest of Lower Olympus, above Platamon castle. From half-empty Palaioi Poroi you climb 850 m through chestnut, pine and beech to hidden Lake Kati, with a 30% wall at km 4.4, then a 27% pitch to the top of Metamorfosi at 1,558 m. After that, fifteen kilometres of mostly downhill forest road. It is a free, unmarked friendly: the GPX on your watch is the course.
