The organiser's own course description

• First waterkm 5First drink, on the seafront. The course is dead flat all the way, so the pace you settle into now is the pace you can hold: most of the road ahead is by the water with nothing to slow you but the turns.
• Waterkm 7.5Water. A doctor waits around km 7. By now the sun has set behind the gulf: from here you run under the street lights.
• Water near halfwaykm 10Water, near halfway, where the rules also promise an energy drink. There are toilets and a timing check at each of the two turns of the course; miss a check and you are out of the results.
• Waterkm 12.5Water. Second half: the same flat road, now with tired legs and the dark. Keep your cadence up rather than pushing the stride.
• Waterkm 15Water. A doctor waits around km 14. Six kilometres left, the stretch where a steady pace pays.
• Last waterkm 17.5Last water on the course. 3.6 km to go, back through the centre to King George I Square, where the finish comes in from Maizonos street.
