Patras Half Marathon
The spring half marathon of Patras, on a Sunday morning in April. It starts and finishes on King George I Square, drops to the sea and runs the whole seafront of the city twice: north to the EOT beach and back, then south-west past the port and back. Flat, measured to World Athletics and AIMS rules, with prize money that draws a fast front. The mountains of Roumeli watch from across the gulf.
