Two forest races from the Agios Nikolaos grove in Naoussa, where the Arapitsa river rises, into the beech, oak and chestnut woods of Vermio; only 1.5 km of the course is out in the sun. The 24K Amazonios climbs to 1,260 m on the ridge above the town and saves its signature for the end: the Mavrolakas descent, 500 m down in 2 km of tight hairpins. The 10K Ververa takes the lower loop by Profitis Ilias and has its own steep way down.
