Messini, MesseniaOpen in Maps Sunday, 4 April 2027 road

A small-town marathon on the flat plain of Messenia, run since 2004. It starts and finishes on the central square of Messini and loops through olive groves and villages, out to Aristodimeio at the foot of Mount Ithome and back. The course is measured by an AIMS measurer and has barely 30 metres of height difference, so it suits a fast time. The day ends with roast piglet on the square.
