An artificial lake at 800 m with the Agrafa rising straight out of it. The 42 km warms up on 5 flat kilometres along the shore, then climbs into the Agrafa: down to the river at Fylakti, up past the Profitis Ilias chapel to the open ground at the Kazarma lookout, back through the village and up to Templa at 1,808 m, then the technical descent to the Agrafa refuge and a fast trail home to the lake. About 2,400 m of climbing. The 23 km takes the shorter way up to Templa; the 10 km and 5 km stay by the water.

Distance and climb as the organiser publishes them. sourceThe "42K" is a brand name: ITRA measures the course at 38.89 km with +2,326 m and scores it 2 points. The track is the organisers' Trace de Trail course (38.4 km; the GPX on their 42K page downloads empty). Their station kilometres do not match it after Fylakti: the full station at the Kazarma lookout, their km 24, is drawn on the high ground the track reaches at km 18.5, and the refuge station, their km 35, at the Agrafa refuge, which the track passes at km 30.6 (the 23K's refuge station snaps there too). The water points stay at their kilometres.
