Fir forest and alpine meadow on Koziakas, the mountain above Elati and Pertouli, in a race run for the rescue of the Egyptian vulture. The 25K climbs from Elati to the hamlet of Vlacha and along the forested ridge of Koukos to the top of the Pertouli ski centre, drops to the meadows and climbs the old stepped path to the Koziakas refuge at 1,740 m. Then it crosses the alpine valleys of the Chounes, past the pierced rock of Trypio Lithari with the Thessalian plain below, and runs all downhill home. The 8K climbs through the Thyra pass.
