Ioannina Half Marathon
A half marathon around the lake of Ioannina, on a weekend in May. It starts on Mavili Square, under the castle walls and the minaret of Aslan Pasha, runs out through the town and the lakeside villages to Katsikas, and comes back along the lakeside path: a straight 7 km with the water and Mount Mitsikeli beside you. Dead flat, which the organisers say makes it one of the fastest 21 km courses in Greece. 2027 is its 10th edition.
