Giona Mountain Race
A new race on Giona, the highest mountain south of Olympus, from the square of Amfissa. The 28K climbs the steps of Agios Nikolaos and the old cobbled lanes, runs up through the olive groves and gains 1,550 m on the slopes of Giona, to Stavros above the forest village of Kapsitsa. The way back passes under the cave of Agios Athanasios, with the whole of Parnassos in view, and finishes over the castle hill and down the steps of Charmaina.
