Evia Ultra Trail
A 108 km loop across the wild middle of Evia. From the plane trees of Steni it crosses Xirovouni and Skotini to the fir plateau of Vromonera and the stone villages of Andronianoi and Pyrgos, and reaches Kymi above the Aegean. Then the sea half: up under the cliff of Ortari to the chapel of Kryfi Panagia, built into the rock, down to the beaches of Tsilaros and Thapsa, and from sea level back up through the firs to 1,160 m before the drop to Steni. 5,478 m of climbing in 26 hours; a two-runner relay splits it at Kymi.
