The organiser's own course description

• Saddle below Papas (270 m)km 2.5After 500 m of paving through the village and a gently rising path. The course climbs from here to the summit of Papas at 385 m, the island's top and a checkpoint, and comes back down to this saddle, where you can drink again.
• Kalotaritissa (station 3)km 5Down a well-built path, one of the finest stretches of the race, to a hamlet with a single year-round resident.
• The lighthouse (Fanari), checkpointkm 8From sea level through a stand of cedars and up onto a cliff-top ridge to an old, half-ruined iron lighthouse above sheer drops to the sea. The path is not dangerous, but do not leave the markings here. Wind-exposed all the way.
• Kalotaritissa (station 4)km 10Back to the hamlet by a downhill path past the isolated beach of Trypiti. From here a dirt road at sea level, then the kalderimi and the tarmac climb to Mersini.
• Mersini spring (station 5)km 14The spring under the plane tree, after 2.5 km of steep tarmac to 240 m. The last station: 6 km of beaches and short, sharp climbs to the finish.
