Delphi to Ancient OlympiaOpen in Maps Friday, 16 April 2027

255 km from the sanctuary of Apollo at Delphi to the sanctuary of Zeus at Olympia, in 48 hours. You start at five in the afternoon down the ancient path to Kirra, run the first night along the Gulf of Corinth through Galaxidi and Nafpaktos, cross the Rio–Antirrio bridge in the morning and climb 1,000 m up Panachaiko. The second night crosses the villages of Erymanthos to Kaletzi; then come the oak forest of Foloi and the gate of ancient Olympia, where an olive wreath waits. Two shorter races split it at Rio: Pame Rio, 111 km, and Rio–Olympia, 144 km.
