The big road race of Crete's heartland: 21.1 km on country roads from Arkalochori through the villages of the Pediada, between olive groves and vineyards, and back. The first half drops gently to the lowest point at km 10.5, with one sharp ramp into Galatas; the second half climbs almost all the way home to the finish in town. A certified course, 1,600 places that sold out last year, and a course record of 1:05:53.
