Armeno Gate Trail Race

The Armeno Gate climbs from Styra to the hills of its dragon houses, built of blocks so huge that local lore said only dragons could have raised them. A 36% wall at km 4 takes you up to the Armeno Gate, the entrance of a Frankish castle built of marble. Then you pass Roman quarries and the dragon houses on the way to the top at 636 m. From there the 20 km drops towards the sea and loops back to the village square.
