Arma Parnithas is the mountain race on the edge of Athens: two loops from the cold springs of ancient Fyli, below the fort that guarded the road to Thebes. Four fifths of it is singletrack through the forest and ravines of western Parnitha, past the Arma crag that names the race. The 21K drops to the Mavrorema at 600 m and climbs back at up to 22% before the last water at Bikeza.
