The green, watered south of Andros on its old stone paths. The 35 km leaves the harbour square at Ormos Korthiou, climbs 370 m in the first three kilometres past the ruined medieval castle on its cliff, and crosses the terraced valleys and villages of the south three times, topping out at 637 m before the long run back down to the sea: about 1,950 m of climbing. Around the trail races, a three-day festival: open-water swims, road races, a climbing wall on the square, and Andrus beer at every station.
