Tsaritsani Trails is a spring mountain race in the foothills of Lower Olympus, run from the square of Tsaritsani. The 32 km Koukouli Trail crosses the river, climbs under the rock of Ai Sotiras and through the forest to Koukouli. Its high point is at 1,135 m, with snow-capped Olympus on your left. From there you run twelve kilometres downhill, through the old village of Palaiochori, to the finish under the plane tree on the square. The 17 and 9 km share the first climbs and come home sooner.
