Foloi Trail Run
Foloi Trail Run is an autumn trail race in the Foloi oak forest, on the plateau of the centaur Pholus. Its 20, 12 and 5 km courses start from the square of Koumani and are almost entirely forest paths. In mid-November the oaks have turned gold and their leaves cover the trails. The race is subtitled «The Centaurs' Gorge», after the gorge both of its old courses ran through.

Terrain & tactics
You start and finish on the central square of Koumani. The village stands at 650 m on the northern edge of the oak forest. The organisers say you run 90% of the course on forest paths and 10% on forest road. In the oak forest you run on earth. In November fallen leaves cover the paths. In the gorge the ground is stony. Watch your feet on the wet stones. The organisers publish no GPX, map or climb figure for 2026, so there is no map line or profile here. Their old course page is from the years when the race started in Foloi. It says both courses went through the Centaurs' Gorge and gives about 500 m of climbing for the 20 km. You pass four stations with water, isotonic drink, cola, and salty and sweet snacks. The organisers do not say where they are. The finish closes five hours after the start, at 13:30. Red paint at visible points, marking tape and wooden signs with the race logo show the way. A sweeper, an experienced runner, follows the last runner.
