Elateia Historic Trail is an early-spring hill race on the eastern slopes of Kallidromo, run from the square of Elateia. The 21.2 km passes below the acropolis of the ancient city and runs a loop through a gully of plane trees. Then you climb 513 m in 6.5 km to the top of the race, which looks across the valley to Parnassos, Giona and Oiti. On the way down you run part of the ancient road to Thermopylae and finish on the square, past the ancient theatre. The 12.6 and 6.2 km share the start and the finish and come home sooner.
